Jurat Notarization

Jurat notarization is required whenever a document must be sworn or affirmed to be true, and it has to be done correctly to be valid. During a jurat appointment, I first verify your identity and make sure the document is completely filled out but not yet signed. I then administer an oath or affirmation in plain, respectful language, confirming that you understand you are swearing to the truth of the contents. Only after that do you sign in my presence, and I complete the notarial certificate with the required wording, date, and seal.
